台灣2012總統大選與美中台關係

台灣將在明年舉行第13任總統和第8屆立法委員選舉。國民黨候選人為現任總統馬英九，民進黨在4月底正式推出民進黨主席蔡英文為民進黨候選人。根據遠見雜誌最新公佈民調，如果現在就投票，馬英九支援率為38.9，蔡英文支援率為38.6，只差0.3個百分點，可謂勢均力敵。 這樣的民調結果對馬英九的政策代表了什麼意義？明年總統大選結果對美中臺關係有何影響？《美國之音》5月17日請到總部設在華盛頓，台灣人公共事務會的韋傑理Gerrit van der Wees博士，談談他對明年台灣選舉和美中臺關係的看法。
